Welcome to my online portfolio. I am a freelance producer, I am growing my skills across all areas but my main area of expertise is in Documentary Production.
Below are a few examples of some projects I have written and produced..
Bia Bocht is a food and travel documentary that is in love with the food culture and history of Ireland. It seeks to understand the deep and strong bond with food that all Irish people have, by looking into our traditional foods.
It travels to the historical epi-centres of some of Ireland’s oldest foods and enriches the written recipes and historical facts with memory and storytelling. It takes you on a journey to the docks, kitchens, and markets that have kept the common people fed throughout history.
Alone Together is an intimate look into the effects eviction can have on young people in Ireland.
This Documentary hopes to highlight the individual stories behind the statistics of 5735 rental properties which suffered evictions in late 2023 after the eviction ban was lifted in Ireland.
This project aims to create a contextual heart behind the Housing crisis by leading us through just one story out of thousands still struggling through the rental market in Ireland.
Blue Cross is a short promotional piece made for the Blue Cross charity designed to tell the story of the Vets and Volunteers helping our small friends.
This project was made to act as a short video they could use on their social media pages and website.
This project was made as part of the Luksuz produkcija documentary workshop in Slovenia. myself and other filmmakers across Europe spent two weeks writing, producing and editing documentaries. Sheltered is a look into how people from different countries experience a universal problem like homelessness and what it means to be in a community.
This is my first Documentary and won the RTS student award for best factual film in 2021. It is a thirty-minute deep dive into the Historical events of Ireland’s War of Independence.
Shot nearly one hundred years following the end of the war, this factual piece will connect the dots of the War that reshaped Ireland, and of the men of The West Connemara Flying Columns brigade led by PJ McDonnell.
It is a celebration of the bravery, sacrifice and love that each of these men had for their country. And how their strength and the strength of those around them during the War paved the way for their children and descendants to live in a proud and strong Ireland.
